Why practise long tests?

A fast 1-minute score does not guarantee a good 10-minute score. Over ten minutes your fingers tire, your eyes drift and mistakes pile up. The speed graph in your result shows exactly when you slow down.

For exam preparation also try Exam Mode, which switches backspace off and reports key depressions, wrong words and net speed in the style of typing exams.

How to build stamina

  • Start with 5 minutes daily, add one minute every few days.
  • Keep the same rhythm from the first second to the last.
  • Look at the consistency score: above 80% means a smooth, even pace.
  • Take a 30-second hand stretch after each test.

10 Minute Typing Test FAQ

What is a good 10 minute typing speed?
It depends on the exam. Many entry-level government tests mention figures around 30-35 WPM; always read your own notification.
Is there a Hindi 10 minute test?
Yes - see the Hindi exam typing test page.
Why is my speed lower than in a 1 minute test?
Fatigue, concentration and longer text lower the average. That is normal; train stamina gradually.
