How exam typing is scored
- Key depressions - every key you press counts. 5 key depressions = 1 word.
- Gross speed = typed words ÷ minutes.
- Wrong words - a word with even one wrong character is a full mistake.
- Net speed = (typed words − wrong words) ÷ minutes.

Exam typing FAQ
Is backspace allowed in the real exam?
It depends on the exam. Many tests disable or limit backspace, so we practise with it off. Strict mode trains you to type correctly the first time.
Which language should I choose?
Pick an English or Hindi preset above. Hindi uses the Inscript layout.
Can I get a certificate for my exam test?
Yes - use the certificate button on the result screen after a test of 1 minute or longer with 85%+ accuracy.
